Chelsea White, president of the Mirrorbox Theatre Board of Directors, announced the closure of the theater in a Facebook post Monday, writing that leaders “recently uncovered financial issues that make it no longer possible to sustain our work in the way our community deserves.”

According to unofficial election results reported by the Iowa Secretary of State, 1.58 million Iowans have voted in the election so far, the same number of residents who voted in 2016. Iowans set a record in the 2020 General Election with 1.69 million ballots cast.
