Para educators in the Cedar Rapids Community School District are getting a pay raise of 17 cents this fall, the lowest pay increase in more than a decade.

Cedar River Academy students worked together to create a story that would not only be made into a book, but also be translated into a story walk in Reed Park, which is connected to the schoolyard of Cedar River Academy at Taylor Elementary.

UIHC has improved its overall rating to four of five stars, putting it on par or above 86 percent of the 3,355 U.S. hospitals applicable for the five-star rating.
