Action from the Class 1A Iowa high school cross country state-qualifying meet at North Linn High School on Thursday.

Cedar Rapids Prairie announced Tuesday that it has hired Todd Kuntz to lead its varsity boys’ basketball program. Kuntz comes to Prairie from Dunkerton, where he had a state tournament team this past season.

The 2023 Iowa high school boys’ state basketball tournament begins Monday at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines with all four Class 1A quarterfinals and two quarterfinal games in Class 2A. Stay up to date with scores, stats and more here throughout the day.

North Linn outscored Dunkerton in the fourth quarter to rally past Dunkerton, 60-46, in a battle of top-10 teams in Class 1A. North Linn is second, Dunkerton sixth.
