Iowans can now download an app that can be used as a digital version of their driver's license at businesses across the state.

Iowans will have to wait longer for the option of keeping their state-issued ID on their smartphones and not just their wallets.

Iowans who have yet to receive their gold star license to become compliant under federal law to fly domestically will have extra time to do so.
