The Cedar Rapids Optimist Club hosted a 97th birthday party for George at Cottage Grove Place for a member who has been active in the club for 70 years. George has the second-longest membership in Optimist International since

joining the local club in 1950. George, a well-known professional photographer in Cedar

Rapids and the Coe College photographer since 1948, enjoyed the party with his family and friends attending.
