Happy 95th Birthday Ed Le Clere

Thanksgiving will be extra-special this year, as we celebrate the 95th birthday of Edward LeClere! Edward was born Nov. 24, 1921, on Thanksgiving Day, the 6th and sole survivor of 10 children. Ed met and

married Frances Euken at Trinity Lutheran Church, and they spent 38 years together before Fran's passing in 1981. They were blessed with 5 children, Dennis, Bruce, Fredrick, Joann and Forrest. Ed's growing family includes 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren (28 in December), 2 great-great-grandchildren, and 42 nieces & nephews. Ed is a 1940 McKinley HS graduate and a proud WWII Navy Veteran. He spent

43 years at Iowa Steel and Iron Works/Iowa Manufacturing, retiring in 1982. As a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church and School, Ed held every office and position, from Chairman of the Congregation to School Janitor! Ed was aboard the Honor Flight in June 2010, one of his fondest memories.

We invite you to join us in celebrating this milestone, at an Open House on Saturday, Nov. 26 from 2 –

4 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1363 1st Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids, IA. Please bring a written memory
