Former Iowa State tight end Charlie Kolar will be heading to Baltimore.
The Ravens took Kolar in the fourth round with the 128th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
He was the third Iowa State prospect to be drafted Friday and the first Iowa State tight end to be drafted in two decades.
Kolar’s NFL.com draft profile projected him to be a third-round pick and compared him to the Chicago Bears’ Cole Kmet.
Kolar won the prestigious William V. Campbell Trophy — often referred to as the “academic Heisman” — in 2021.
On the field, Kolar broke his own Iowa State records in 2021 for catches and receiving yards. He also was a two-time finalist for the Mackey Award, which goes to the top tight end in college football.
