AMES — Iowa State’s women’s basketball team just got much stronger.
Bill Fennelly’s team gained a commitment Thursday from 6-5 former Sacramento State post Isnelle Natabou, giving the program its second addition from the transfer portal in a week. Chris Williams of Cyclone Fanatic first reported the news.
Natabou averaged 15.8 points and 10.1 rebounds in two seasons with the Hornets. The junior-to-be from the Czech Republic retains two seasons of eligibility — and proved her game translates well to the Power Five level by notching 16 points and 10 rebounds in Sacramento State’s first-round NCAA Tournament loss last month to UCLA.
Natabou’s commitment comes six days after former Truman State guard Hannah Belanger announced she’d be joining ISU’s program.
The Cyclones previously lost two starters — Lexi Donarski and Denae Fritz — to the transfer portal.
