AMES — The Iowa State men’s basketball program just added more depth to its backcourt.
Former St. Bonaventure guard Jaren Holmes announced via a short video on Twitter Friday night that he had committed to the Cyclones.
The 6-3 Holmes averaged 13.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and three assists per game in two seasons with the Bonnies. He played all 40 minutes in each of St. Bonaventure’s final three games last season in the NIT.
Holmes is the Cyclones’ third addition from the transfer portal this offseason, joining Temple guard Jeremiah Williams and Virginia Commonwealth forward Hason Ward.
