Walford man hurt in Fairfax motorcycle accident

A Walford man suffered apparent non-life threatening injuries Monday afternoon when he flipped his motorcycle after crashing into a pole in Fairfax.
Douglas Fuller, 66, was riding his motorcycle southbound on Williams Blvd. near Casey's General Store when he didn't stop for a vehicle waiting to turn left ahead of him, according to the Linn County Sheriff's Office. Douglas, who was not wearing a helmet, steered the motorcycle into the ditch and hit a pole.
Douglas was taken to University of Iowa Hospital by Lifeguard.
Linn County Sheriff's Deputies, Linn County Rescue, Fairfax Fire, Area Ambulance and Lifeguard responded to the scene at 4:05 p.m.. The accident remains under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff's Office.
