Update: Highway 1 reopen between Iowa City and Solon
UPDATE: The route between Solon and Iowa City along Highway 1 has now been reopened.
The Iowa State Patrol is investigating a crash with injuries that closed Highway 1 early Friday between Solon and Iowa City. The crash around 6 a.m. closed both lanes of Highway 1 temporarily, Johnson County Sheriff Lonny Pulkrabek said. Some motorists went around the crash on Dillons Furrow Road, he said. Pulkrabek said he did not know the extent of the injuries sustained in the crash or how many vehicles were involved. The State Patrol has not yet put out a news release.
