Timeline of events in Evelyn Miller case

A timeline of events in the disappearance, death and investigation of Evelyn Miller:

• July 1, 2005: 2:30 a.m., Evelyn Miller, 5, last seen by friends of her mother, Noel Miller, at rural Floyd apartment Evelyn shares with her mother, two younger brothers and her mother's fiancé, Casey Frederiksen; 6:30 a.m., Noel Miler returns home, finds door to apartment open and Evelyn missing; reports missing girl to authorities and search begins.
• July 2 to July 6, 2005: Hundreds of volunteers search area around apartment for Evelyn.
• July 6, 2005: Evelyn's body found about 10:30 p.m. in Cedar River between Floyd and Charles City, about two miles from her home.
• July 11, 2005: Autopsy results released saying Evelyn's death is a homicide. The cause of her death is not disclosed.
• July 13, 2005: $5,000 reward offered for information leading to arrest and conviction in Evelyn's death.
• July 14, 2005: Evelyn's funeral held in Charles City.
• Sept. 9, 2005: Grand jury hears testimony in the Evelyn Miller case.
• Sept. 29, 2005: Family members of Evelyn Miller testify before grand jury.
• Sept. 29, 2005: Frederiksen is arrested on federal charges of possession of child pornography.
• Nov. 17, 2005: Thirteen more federal child pornography charges filed against Frederiksen.
• Dec. 18, 2005: Statue commemorating Evelyn's life unveiled at Floyd County Community Center in Floyd, which served as command post for authorities during their search for her.
• Feb. 23, 2006: Frederiksen pleads guilty to three federal child pornography charges.
• May 2006: Memorial to Evelyn dedicated at Washington Elementary School in Charles City, where she attended school.
• June 29, 2006: Danny Slick of Charles City is charged with lying to FBI agents about the whereabouts of his friend, Randy Patrie of Charles City, the morning Evelyn went missing. Slick and Patrie were among last to see Evelyn alive.
• Aug. 10, 2006: Frederiksen sentenced to 14 years in prison on child pornography charges.
• Nov. 27, 2006: Slick pleads guilty to lying to FBI agents.
• Feb. 21, 2007: Slick sentenced to one year and one day in prison for lying to FBI agents.
• June 2009: Federal charges filed against Frederiksen for conspiring with others to manufacture methamphetamine from 2004 through June 2005.
• Aug. 20, 2009: Frederiksen pleads guilty to federal drug charges and is later sentenced to 10 years in prison.
• Sept. 27, 2012: Frederiksen charged with first-degree murder and first-degree sexual abuse in Evelyn's death.
