Surveillance image leads Cedar Rapids police to theft suspect

Police have identified one woman in connection with a string of false credit card purchases from Thanksgiving Day because of a Crime Stoppers tip, authorities said.
Alexis Dixon, 21, was arrested at her home, 2047 Park Ave. SE, around 10:15 p.m. Friday after investigators received a call on the Linn County Crime Stoppers tip line. Police later identified Dixon as one of the females seen in surveillance images police released to the media.
Dixon faces two counts of false use of a credit card related to purchases on Nov. 22 at a CVS Pharmacy, 3419 16th Ave. SW, and a WalMart store at 3601 29th Ave. SW.
The case remains under investigation, police said.
