An Iowa City massage therapist has been charged with failing to meet continuing education requirements.
The Iowa Board of Massage Therapy announced that Bruce Morgan was charged with a violation of the Iowa Code pertaining to continuing education requirements. According to board documents, Morgan had previous disciplinary action from the board in 2011 for failing a continuing education audit when it was determined he did not complete a 3-hour class on ethics.
The board said failed a 2012 audit pertaining to the renewal of his license when he failed to provide proof of continuing education hours.
Morgan operates Bodyworks by Bruce in Iowa City. A message left at the business Monday morning was not immediately returned.
A hearing on the matter is scheduled for Sept. 3 in Des Moines.
