St. Louis man stole SUV at Eastern Iowa Airport, led Missouri officers on high-speed chase, police say

A St. Louis man stole an SUV at the airport in Cedar Rapids and later was arrested by Missouri officers following a high-speed chase, according to a criminal complaint.
James E. Ferguson, 31, is accused of taking a 2013 Dodge Durango valued at nearly $18,000, which was at The Eastern Iowa Airport on Aug. 15. Police said the theft was captured on video surveillance.
Later, according to the complaint, Ferguson led the Missouri State Highway Patrol on a chase while driving the SUV.
Following his arrest, Ferguson was taken the Linn County Jail. He has been charged with first-degree theft, a Class C felony, punishable by up to 10 years in jail. He is being held on $10,000 cash or surety bond.
