Nov. 7, 2018 10:19 am
A Riverside man was arrested overnight after he allegedly set a woman's trailer on fire following a dispute.
According to the arrest report, Johnson County Sheriff's deputies responded at about 12:18 a.m. to a fire in the 5400 block of Lackender Avenue SW in Riverside to find a trailer engulfed in flames.
The arrest report states Ryan L. Lippard, 34, had gotten into a verbal argument with a woman 'about a missing key.” During the argument, Lippard threatened that he was going to burn the woman's trailer down, which was located on the west side of the property, the report states.
Deputies said Lippard then got into his vehicle and left the property.
Approximately 10 minutes later, the residents told police the trailer was engulfed in flames. The report states Lippard sent a text message to the residents that contained a photo of the trailer burning. Deputies said the trailer was a total loss, with damages exceeding $500.
Lippard faces a charge of second-degree arson, a class C felony.
