Police: North Liberty man was driving drunk with three kids in car
A North Liberty man had three young children in the back seat of his car when he was arrested for drunk driving Monday.
According to a police report from the Iowa City police department, Richard Green, 55, had stopped outside a McDonald's on Lower Muscatine Rd. where he blew a 0.159, nearly twice the legal limit, police said.
“Three children located in the back seat of the vehicle, unsecured and with no safety seats,” a criminal complaint said. “The children are ages 2, 3 and 8 [years old].”
Green has been charged with child endangerment not resulting in injury and OWI.
According to the complaint, Green has two previous convictions for OWI, both in 2003.
