CEDAR RAPIDS — A motorcyclist who was injured in a crash last week faces a charge of making falsified reports after police say he incorrectly claimed he was run off the road by another vehicle, according to a Cedar Rapids police.
David Glandon, 64, of Cedar Rapids, also is charged with failure to maintain control.
He crashed about 2:45 p.m. April 23 in the 1800 block of Edgewood Road NW, north of O Avenue NW. He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries after telling first responders he had been run off the road.
Witnesses to the crash indicated Glandon was the only vehicle involved. He later recanted his claims that another car was involved, a police news release states.
