Police investigating shots fired in southeast Cedar Rapids Sunday

CEDAR RAPIDS -- Police in Cedar Rapids are investigating an early Sunday incident in which shots were fired.
The report of shots fired was made at 1:29 a.m. in the 200 block of Second Ave. SE, according to a news release from the Cedar Rapids Police Department.
Officers found evidence of shots fired, but there was no damage and no victims were located. A large group of people was in the area and “law enforcement partners assisted CRPD in dispersing the crowd,” the release states.
