Pedestrian hit by train dies in Iowa City

IOWA CITY - A man died Friday morning after being struck by a train in Iowa City.
The man was struck about 7:30 a.m. at the railroad crossing near Sunrise Village mobile home park near Heinz Road and Scott Boulevard, according to a news release from the Iowa City Police Department.
The man has not been identified, and the investigation continues, police said.
