One person dead after shooting at Marion bar

MARION — One person was killed in a shooting at a Marion bar Friday night.
Police were called to Cocktails and Company, 1625 Blairs Ferry Rd., Marion, at 11:06 p.m. March 17 on a report of shots fired, a news release from the Marion Police Department states.
Cameron Barnes, 32, was injured. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died, the release states. No one else was injured in the shooting.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is continuing, police said.
Marion police are being assisted by officers from the Cedar Rapids and Hiawatha police departments, and the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
