One injured in weekend shooting in Cedar Rapids
Police ask witnesses to come forward with information

CEDAR RAPIDS — One man was injured in a shooting Saturday in northeast Cedar Rapids, according to a press release from the Cedar Rapids Police Department.
Police responded to the 1800 block of A Avenue NE at 10:33 p.m. Saturday for a report of shots fired. They found one man with gunshot wounds that police do not believe were life-threatening. He was treated on scene and taken to a hospital for further treatment.
The release did not state whether any arrests have been made in relation to the shooting, but did say the investigation is ongoing. The police department is asking any witnesses or anyone with information about the shooting to contact investigators at 319-286-5491.
