One driver taken to hospital after two vehicle crash in Marion

Linn County deputies responded to a personal injury accident at Highway 100 and 44th St., Marion, Tuesday afternoon.
According to a news release, the accident happened at around 1:15 p.m. The Marion Police Department, the Marion Fire, and area ambulance responded along with the Linn County Sheriff's Office.
According to the release, a vehicle driven by Robert Boer, 60, of Marion was turning eastbound from 44th St. when he failed to yield for a westbound vehicle, which was being driven by Betty Biggart, 50, of Anamosa.
Biggart's vehicle was struck in the side causing it to enter the north ditch.
Robert was transported to Mercy Hospital with minor injuries and was cited for the accident.
All parties involved were wearing their seat belts at the time of the incident.
