Mount Pleasant police searching for bank robbery suspect

Police are still searching for the man who robbed Mount Pleasant's U.S. Bank in the afternoon of Friday, Sept. 14. Authorities have now released a surveillance photo of the suspect.
The Mount Pleasant Police Department responded to a report of a bank robbery at the U.S. Bank, located at 301 E. Washington St., in Mount Pleasant at approximately 11:45 a.m., on Friday, Sept. 14.
The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money, according to a news release. No weapon was displayed during the robbery. Six employees were in the bank at the time of the incident.
The suspect, who was identified on the scanner as a Hispanic male, approximately 5'2” fled the scene and was last seen driving north in a white Dodge Ram pickup truck.
According to authorities, he still is at large.
Officers are investigating the incident and ask that anyone with tips or information contact the Mount Pleasant Police Department at 319-385-1450.
