Morning shooting in southeast Cedar Rapids leaves 1 injured

CEDAR RAPIDS - Police are investigating after an overnight shooting in southeast Cedar Rapids left one person injured.
According to a news release from the Cedar Rapids Police Department, officers were called at about 12:15 a.m. Saturday to the 100 block of 29th Drive SE for reports of a shooting. The person shot had already been taken to an area hospital in what was believed to be serious condition, police said.
No arrests have been made.
Police have not released any details about the person shot or what happened during the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
The shooting is not likely related to another shooting in Cedar Rapids early Saturday that left two people dead and two others badly wounded, police said.
