Monticello man arrested in stabbing at bar

A 26-year-old Monticello man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing Monday, authorities said Tuesday.
According to a news release, Joshua Meyer approached Travis Jamieson, 35, of rural Monticello, at the Northside bar in Monticello and stabbed him in the neck.
Jamieson was taken to Jones Regional Medical Center in Anamosa and later transferred to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. His condition wasn't available Tuesday.
Meyer faces charges of willful injury and going armed with intent. He is being held in the Jones County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
The case remains under investigation.
