‘Minor gunshot injury’ early Friday in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS — One person was shot early Friday in the 1500 block of C Avenue and 16th Street NE after police responded to multiple calls of shots being fired in the area.
Cedar Rapids police officers arrived about 12:10 a.m. and found a person with a “minor gunshot injury,” according to a news release from the police department. The person, who has not been identified, refused medical treatment.
No arrests have been made, and an investigation is ongoing.
