Marion Police Department searching for theft suspects

Marion Police Department are looking for two theft suspects who stole a purse at a Marion Hy-Vee, 3600 Business Hwy 151, on Saturday, Aug. 25.
At around 9:30 p.m., Aug. 25, the two female suspects approached the victim and stole her purse while she was using the can redemption machine inside the store, according to a news release.
They then ran from the store, got into a red Dodge Caravan with Illinois license plates and fled the scene.
According to a release, both suspects were seen on surveillance footage at Wal-Mart, 2645 Blairs Ferry NE., a short time after this incident. There, they attempted to purchase more than $3,000 in gift cards using the victim's credit card. They then left the store in a gray sedan.
