CEDAR RAPIDS — A Marion man, who pleaded guilty Thursday to a child pornography charge, faces up to 20 years in prison.
Jeffrey Alan Bradley, 50, entered the plea in U.S. District Court to one count of receiving child pornography.
According to a plea agreement, Bradley admitted he received at least 600 visual depictions of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct between May 2020 and February 2022. The depictions included sadistic or masochistic conduct or other depictions of violence, as well as the sexual abuse or exploitation of an infant or toddler.
Law enforcement obtained a search warrant for Bradley’s residence in February 2022 and found the photos and videos.
U.S. District Chief Judge C.J. Williams will sentence Bradley after a presentence report is completed. Bradley remains in custody of the U.S. Marshals Service pending sentencing.
Bradley faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years and a possible maximum sentence of 20 years, a $250,000 fine and court assessments. Bradley also was ordered to serve a lifetime of supervised release following prison.
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the U.S. Department of Justice to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse. The case was prosecuted by Assistant US. Attorney Devra Hake and was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
