A Marion man was arrested Tuesday on charges that he offered to pay someone he believed was a 15-year-old minor to perform a sex act with him, and sent them an explicit photo.
Adam Stradt, 43, is charged with prostitution and phone dissemination of obscene material to minors.
According to a criminal complaint, Stradt contacted an online spoof profile in April that was being operated by a law enforcement officer posing as a 15-year-old. He repeatedly offered to pay the minor for sexual favors and sent the spoof account an explicit photo.
A warrant was issued for Stradt’s arrest June 5, and he was taken into custody Tuesday. He had an initial appearance Tuesday and is being held in the Linn County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
