A Marion man was arrested Sunday on charges that he stabbed another man multiple times and hit him in the head with a lead pipe, according to a news release from the Marion Police Department.
Curtis Grandon, 33, is charged with willful injury, assault with a dangerous weapon, going armed with intent and disorderly conduct.
According to a criminal complaint, Grandon attacked Trevor Lewis on Sunday with a knife and a metal pipe, leaving him with a cut on his right elbow, a puncture wound in the middle of his chest, a slice on his thumb, a cut on the top of his head and other cuts and abrasions.
Marion police responded to a mobile home in the 1300 block of Elizabeth Drive at 8:40 a.m. Sunday. They found Lewis, who told officers that Grandon had attacked him. Lewis’ injuries were not life-threatening and he has been treated and released from the hospital, according to the release.
Grandon had an initial appearance in court on Monday and is being held in the Linn County Jail on a $4,000 bond.
