MARION - A Marion man faces multiple sexual abuse charges after police say two girls reported he had inappropriate physical contact with them multiple times.
Vincenzo S. Lloyd, 28, faces seven counts of second-degree sexual abuse, a Class B felony.
Four of the counts stem from incidents involving sex acts between Aug. 12, 2010, and April 24, 2019, at a residence in Marion and two residences in Cedar Rapids, according to the criminal complaint.
The girl, who is now 12, told police she was 5 or 6 five when the abuse started, according to the complaint.
The remaining three counts concern a second girl, who reported Lloyd performed similar acts on her between April 24, 2015, and April 24, 2019. The girl, who is now 8, told police she was 4 when the abuse started.
Police said 'the children described sexual acts … by the defendant far beyond the typical understanding and experience of children their age.”
According to the complaint, Lloyd allegedly admitted to the girls' mother that he had sexually abused the girls, calling himself a 'sick man.”
Lloyd was located Friday night by deputies in Delaware County and taken into custody. He was then driven to the county border and transferred to Linn County sheriff's deputies who served him with an arrest warrant, Linn County Sheriff Brian Gardner said.
Lloyd is at the Linn County Jail on a cash-only bond of $100,000.
