Marion man accused of inappropriately touching a 9-year-old girl

A Marion man is facing a charge of lascivious acts with a child - a Class C felony - after police said he inappropriately touched a 9-year-old girl during a sleep over.
According to the criminal complaint, the child told investigators that on or about June 1, Dwayne R. Scritchfield touched her genitals and other intimate parts of her body during a sleep over to Scritchfield's residence. Investigators said the child was able to provide a detailed account of the incident.
A warrant was issued for Scritchfield's arrest on August 1, and he was taken into custody this week.
