Marion bicyclist injured after collision with vehicle
A bicyclist was injured Thursday evening after a collision with a vehicle in the southern edge of Marion.
According to a media release from the Marion Police Department, at around 6:01 Thursday evening, police officers and members of Marion Fire / Rescue and Area Ambulance responded to the 2100 block of East Post Road for the report of a bicycle versus vehicle accident. The bicyclist had been wearing his or her helmet, according to the release, and while he or she did sustain injuries, they are not believed to be life threatening.
The accident remains under investigation, according to the release.
