Man charged with attempted murder following shooting in Oelwein

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is on the scene of a reported shooting in Oelwein this morning.

Two shooting victims were taken to Mercy Hospital in Oelwein for treatment, according to Oelwein police reports. Their condition is unknown.

The shots were fired around 6:50 a.m., police said. The scene is now secure, and there is no threat to the public, police said.
