CEDAR RAPIDS - Cedar Rapids police arrested a 38-year-old man Friday accused of stealing and trying to outrun officers in an Aramark truck.
Billy A. Clark faces a charge of second-degree theft and traffic violations.
The delivery truck was reported stolen around 11:15 a.m. Friday from Mercy Medical Center, 701 10th St. SE.
Officers located the truck just before 2 p.m. near 21st Street and Mount Vernon Road SE.
When police tried to stop the truck, Clark continued driving north on 19th Street SE, with police in pursuit. The pursuit continued until Clark wedged the truck between a pole and a warehouse near Oakland Road and G Avenue NE around 2:10 p.m.
Clark then ran inside the warehouse, where he was apprehended, police said.
Police said the truck and the warehouse were damaged, but no one was injured.
