An Iowa City woman was arrested Thursday on charges she threatened over the phone to shoot up a Mercy Hospital clinic.
Stephanie Robinson, 47, is charged with threat of terrorism, a Class D felony.
Mercy Hospitals went into lock down briefly Thursday after Robinson called the clinic at 269 N. First Ave. at 8:17 a.m. and threatened several times that she was going to shoot up the clinic and kill Mercy staff, according to a criminal complaint.
Regina Schools, just around the corner from the clinic, also went into lock down, according to a Thursday news release.
Robinson was located by police and admitted to calling the clinic but denied making the threats, the complaint states. She had her initial appearance Friday and was being held in the Johnson County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
