IOWA CITY -- The Iowa City Police Department is seeking the public’s help identifying an individual who was involved in an armed robbery earlier this week at a Casey’s.
The robbery happened just after 10 p.m. Sunday at the Casey’s at 204 N. Dubuque St. according to a news release from the police department.
The suspect was described in the press release only as a male with scruffy facial hair and wearing a blue beanie and a tan coat. He walked north on Dubuque Street after the robbery with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police released two photos Friday of a person of interest in the robbery who they are asking community members to help identify.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department at (319) 356-5275, or through the Iowa City Crime Stoppers at (319) 358-8477 or online at iccrimestoppers.org. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest, the release states.
