Iowa City police seek tips on robbery

IOWA CITY - Iowa City police are investigating a robbery alleged to have taken place on Sunday evening in the 2100 block of S. Riverside Drive.
Police responded to a report of a robbery just before 10 p.m., Sunday. The victim reported being tackled to the ground by the suspect, who then stole an undisclosed amount of cash and property from the victim and fled from the area, according to a news release from police.
The suspect is described as a male wearing all dark clothing.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident and have requested public assistance. The Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers is offering up to a $1,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of this suspect or suspects. Those with information about the incident can contact CrimeStoppers at 358-TIPS (8477). People with information can remain anonymous and still collect the reward.
