Iowa City police looking for information after 7-year-old is struck by vehicle

IOWA CITY - Police are looking for information about the driver of a vehicle that hit a 7-year-old child Friday evening.
Officers were called to 1454 Aber Ave. at 5:08 p.m. for the report of a vehicle that struck a child and left the area, according to an Iowa City police news release.
The child was taken to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment of minor injuries.
The vehicle was described as a black sedan with two yellow triangular flags with black lettering attached to the doors.
The vehicle continued east on Aber Avenue and then onto Sunset Street. The area is in southwest Iowa City near Highway 1, east of Highway 218.
Anyone with information on the vehicle or driver is asked to call police at (319) 356-5276 or Crime Stoppers at (319) 358-8477 or online at iccrimestoppers.org, Calls are confidential and callers do not have to reveal their identity to collect a reward.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
