Iowa City man found with multiple gunshot wounds Tuesday morning
Police say an Iowa City man will likely survive despite being found Tuesday morning with several gunshot wounds.
According to the Iowa City Police Department officers were dispatched at 1:08 a.m. after receiving a call about a shooting at the 2600 block of Westwinds Drive. Officers who responded found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The man was taken to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Police do not believe the wounds are life threatening, according to the release.
The shooting is under investigation by the Iowa City Police Department. No other information is available at this time.
