Iowa City man faces felony charges after meth lab found in backpack

An Iowa City man faces a felony charge after police found a backpack containing equipment to make methamphetamine.
According to a police complaint, Ryan Michael Brown, 39, was arrested after a one-pot meth lab and remnants of several others were found in a backpack behind a home on Mineral Point Lane in southwest Iowa City on Monday.
An investigation determined Brown placed the backpack at there, the complaint states.
Brown faces a charge of controlled substance violation, a Class B felony punishable by up to 25 years in prison.
Brown is currently being held at the Johnson County Jail.
