Iowa City man charged with 15 counts of sexual abuse of child

An Iowa City man has been arrested on charges that he sexually abused a child at least 15 times over more than a year in a Coralville apartment.
Jerell Rush, 19, was arrested Monday and charged with 15 counts of second-degree sexual abuse.
According to criminal complaints, the sexual abuse happened at least once per month between Dec. 1, 2021, and Feb. 15, 2023, at an apartment in Coralville.
Rush had his first appearance on the charges in court Tuesday and was being held in the Johnson County Jail on $150,000 bail.
