Iowa City Fire Department responds to kitchen fire in apartment building

The Iowa City Fire Department is repretedly investigating a fire in an apartment building in Iowa City.
According to a report from the Iowa City Fire Department, firefighters responded to a report of kitchen fire at 400 Bjaysville Lane on Saturday, December 1, at 7:25 a.m.. Sixteen firefighters reportedly extinguished the fire in approximately 5 minutes. No injuries were reported.
The Iowa City Fire Department was assisted by the Iowa City Police Department, Johnson County Ambulance Service, Johnson County Emergency Communication Center, and Mid-American Energy.
