Husband and wife shot on I-80 Friday in Iowa County

The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of two people who were shot Friday on Interstate 80 near the westbound on-ramp of exit 225, in rural Williamsburg.
David Morse, 56, and Tara Morse, 52, both of Holt, Michigan, were both shot around 9 p.m. Friday. They were a married couple. David was pronounced dead at the scene, and Tara was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to a press release from the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff's office is investigating the shooting with help from the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and the state medical examiner’s office.
The sheriff’s office has not released any additional information, including details about whether any arrests are expected or if there is an ongoing threat to the public. The press release states that more information will be released as it becomes available.
