Witnesses told The Gazette as many as six fire trucks responded to the scene.
CRFD Battalion Chief Andrew Olesen said the fire started in the basement of a 2 ½ story wood-frame house.
Buelow said when firefighters arrived, they reported visible flames and Olesen said heavy smoke was seen coming from the second-story.
Olesen said the house is lived in, but as of 4 p.m. Wednesday it was not known if anyone was home when the fire started. Buelow said no injuries have been reported.
