County Home Road was closed temporarily Sunday as black smoke obscured travel as several departments responded to an outbuilding fire at 2321 County Home Road.
According to a media release from the Linn County Sheriff's Office, at 2:04 p.m. firefighters and emergency responders were called to the above address for the report of a fire.
As firefighters worked to put the fire out, according to the release, County Home Road was briefly closed from North 10th Street to Winslow Road as black smoke from the fire was going across the roadway.
The roadway was then reopened as the fire was brought under control, according to the release. No injuries to human or animals occurred from this fire.
According to the release, Linn County Sheriff's Deputies and Linn County Rescue 57 was aided by fire departments from Marion, Monroe Township, Robins, Springville and Alburnett.
