Coralville man charged in Linn County with sexually abusing child

A Coralville man was arrested Wednesday in Linn County on charges that he sexually abused a child multiple times at a residence in Cedar Rapids.

Andre Tremaine Roberts, 41, is charged with three counts of second-degree sexual abuse and one count of lascivious acts with a child. The sexual abuse happened multiple times between December 2022 and July 2023, when the child was under 14, according to a criminal complaint.

The child reported the abuse during a forensic interview, the complaint states. A warrant was issued in October for Roberts, and he was taken into custody Wednesday.

As of Thursday morning, Roberts had not had his first appearance in court yet to determine his bail amount.
