DUBUQUE - A judge has denied a request to reduce the bond for the Holy Cross man who faces vehicular homicide charges in the deaths of four teenagers.
New court documents indicate Judge Todd Geer ruled not to reduce the bond for Joseph Connolly, 24.
Connolly faces several charges after the Aug. 2 crash near Epworth. He admitted to deputies that he ran a stop sign and hit a Gator carrying the four boys. Connolly is accused of being intoxicated before the crash, which killed the four teenagers and injured two other adults.
Connolly remains in jail on a $500,000 bond. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
His trial date is set for Nov. 10.
