A Clermont man was arrested Friday on charges that he sexually abused multiple co-workers, including a minor, at a Casey’s in Clermont.
Terry Joseph Choi, 32, is charged with five counts of third-degree sexual abuse. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office began investigating him last Thursday, when a 17-year-old who worked with Choi at Casey’s reported that he had touched her inappropriately, according to criminal complaints.
While investigating the 17-year-old’s report, deputies were contacted by two other people who worked at Casey’s who both reported they had also been sexually abused by Choi. One of the victims had made a report with Casey’s corporate, but nothing was done, complaints state.
One of the victims told law enforcement that Choi would make inappropriate comments that eventually escalated to him grabbing her inappropriately. Twice he shut her in the cooler or freezer with him while she was stocking product and sexually abused her. She said she was afraid to report the abuse, according to complaints.
Choi was arrested Friday and is being held on a $50,000 bond, according to a news release about the arrest.
“Sheriff Marty Fisher is concerned that there may be other victims. If anyone has any information or you feel you were a victim, please contact the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office,” the release states.
